MoveWELL
MoveWELL
Lack of physical activity decreases resilience and is the main risk leading to frailty.
Targeted individual and population technology-enabled health innovations can increase PA and
thus delay the decline functional ability as we age.
Our goal is to stimulate technological health innovations, such as MoveWELL, to support older adults to spring back into shape, increasing their resilience, i.e. their capacity to recover quickly from difficulties.
22,7 mln [~40,2%] of ~56,5 mln older adults in 11 European countries we've researched are considered to be vulnerable/frail. By 2030, this population will grow to ~67,5 mln.
Without interventions there’ll be ~27,1 mln frail people, an increase of ~20%
Smart devices are able to identify daily activity.
Using advanced technologies such as self-learning on the EDGE and Machine Learning in the Cloud,
we'll be able to propose a personalized 'active' lifestyle
and
to support long time adherence to this lifestyle.
The future is for AI powered, self-learning, wearable technology, we call this BrAIns on Battery, that connects via IoT to the cloud.
The cloud platform uses Machine Learning/Neural Network technology to quantify Physical Activity Energy Expenditure [PAEE]
before and after interventions.
